Saw the picture below? That my breakfast of the day.The nestle cup is boiled milk and the transparent cup is diluted black glutinous rice(bur bur itam). Taste bad. I wonder how the students survive on this kind on food everyday.


After breakfast, we had visiting around the school guided by one of the teacher.

This is one of the canteen stall holder.The food is very cheap and is served in huge amount!

This canteen is for the students to have their meals.Its huge, 5 times larger than my school's canteen!!

Each ends of the canteen is a hostel.One end is for the guys and the other end is for the girls.

Each room consists of 4 person . Individual desk is below each bunk.

This is the basin part. There is no toilet in the room.

I spotted two weird pots of plant outside the hostel!! Look closely at the stems.

This plant has a platted stem!!

This was at the field!! Syahidah and me!! The field is like 4 times my school's field? (sweet!)

Before lunch, we had chinese lesson. In there school, students had to memorise poems and other literature stuffs written by famous poet.This display was like a welcome decoration to welcome us for the lunch in the teacher's canteen. Look at the display clearly! There is actually plates of fruit in front of the decoration.

I like this carved watermelon. I envy how the chief did this piece of master art! So skillfully done and the watermelon is fresh.

This is something that you don't usually see in Singapore. Its like custard apple but juicer and sweeter.

This little one is parsimon.It is soft and sweet.In Singapore, it is usually imported from Australia and Israel and the size is much larger.

The basin.The food was served in a buffet style.

Now this is what i call "China toilet". It is located outside the canteen. There is (i say there is) no DOOR!!!! Except the one in the General office.

This is where some of the chinese ambassador girls(including me) hang out during midday rest.

When the end of midday rest bell rang, all the students ran back to their respective class and a keeper locked all the gates.This shows how responsible of the students not wanting to be late for lessons. During the English lesson, the teacher was very creative in teaching his students. He goes through a short and simple video and after ample times going through, he asked students to act out exactly like the clip. Then he shows a diagram of a box which consists indicated words like in, under, behind, in front,below and near. Then, he played games with this words to make the students remember this words better and faster. Before the end of lesson, he asked his students to complete the crossword puzzle with words learned. I realised that the school also practices the homeroom system too.The students were attentive during lesson and enthusiastically participated in every questions asked or volunteers needed. During music lesson, the teacher came into class with full of spirit. This gave me a sudden 'wow' effect.Today's music lesson was about chinese mask. The teacher gave a brief introduction on how it origins and which

colour painted on the mask represents what behavior of the character is.

After that she played a old tune about the chinese opera mask. I dozed during that part and missed the mask making part.(opps! not on purpose!!) By the time i woke, i saw some students dressed in tradition costumes of different character in the chinese opera play. Look! That is our very own yusoffian!!

This is the finale of the introduction to chinese opera characters.

We had a half an hour afternoon tea right after music lesson. Followed by the last activity of the day,which is sports!(yeah) There is skipping ropes,basketball and even plane making.We first had the plane making. Quite tough as i don't really understand those deep chinese characters. But was a success!! See our plane tried out!! You have to turn the propeller 100-200 to have the plane fly further.

After plane making, we had the honor of joining the school basketball girls team in their training. Those girls are such tall and man-looking. Their two person passing and then lay-up(also called as fast-break) was sweet!Their stamina was good too. Candice,Sze Qin,Pei Ling and some other yusoffians and me had a hard time chasing them up. At 6pm, my host came to fetch Rosma and me back. There were many student cycling back home. For dinner, the host's mum had prepared a variety of side-dish for us. Nice! (yummy) I will miss her food a lot back in Singapore. Well, now for my reflection:

• i learnt that students in China uses QQ, something like msn messenger, but is in chinese version
  
• If any students were late for exam, they have to knee and beg for forgiveness
• The board below is the announcement of the day(very useful for Mr Adam)!

• they have a board of the star teacher of the year
  

• the schooling hours are long
• the students are warm and friendly
• they like to exchange currency
• they are very appreciative

Waking up early in the morning is always dreadful to me.Even my everyday school life.Except today,i woke up with enthusiasm! (semangat sie!) I slept for only three and a half hours,cause i am too excited already!! i do not want to miss the opportunately. I got changed and immediately hopped on to the cab and headed straight for the airport. i had my breakfast with my mum at the polar express,near to the terminal two. i ate 2 chicken pie while my mum had a cup of coffee and a chicken pie too.(i hate coffee!) Just at 6am,YuanLing told me that she is arriving with her family soon and wondered where to meet me. Twenty past six,i strolled with my mum slowly to counter six,where it is the gather point.The teachers were already giving out passports,planes passes and name card.We checked in our luggages and headed for the departure hall.Before entering the departure hall,we took a group photo and then bidded goodbye to our parents. At there,my mum made friends with Rosma's mum!My mum couldn't trust me being independence. Afraid that i would mess up my host's house like my home!(haha)Well,i got to say that so myself!Even the principal is there to send us off! Then we board the plane .Look at the window view!!Spectacular!

This was at GuangZhou airport.Its magnificent!! We finally arrived here after 6 hours!

This is the transport in the airport.You have to pay 10yuan to get a ride.

We decided to have some beverage after our flight. The teachers went into the red banner restruant while the students went into the one beside it.That was where some friends and i met our daylight robbery! A can of coke, abit larger than the one sold in Singapore,cost 32yuan! Which is equals to $6.4! (ahh!!) I head from mr Koh that mrs Wan's bought a coffee that is 80yuan,which is $16!! I tell you,if you ever go to GuangZhou airport,never go to these two restruants!!!

While waiting for the bus to take us to the plane.Thanks to mr Koh for the Dove chocolate!! That was YuanChan and me fighting on who should get the chocolate!!(childish us)

The food on the second flight was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!! As though it wasn't meant for humans. The plane lasted for two hours. When we got off our flight,my ears hurt so badly. (i want my mummy!! T.T just kidding^^) By that time,we zombily took our luggage and pull to the bus where we took a small bus to Tie Yi Zhong school,where we were warmly welcomed by the school. The principal gave his speech and a guy,called Jesse,

aticulately translated his every sentence.Good job!! Then,the teacher announced the names of our home stay host and we just leave with them.Rosma and my home stay partner was ZhangHe.Her mum and her helped in our luggage.(thank you!) They called a cab which sent us to the main road.We had to walk all the way in the housing.As though we were acting in a haunted movie.The surrounding was dim and the atmosphere was intense.There was these huge door infront.My host entered in the hose number,which is the password and the huge door was unlock.The lights were sound-proof. Energy saving too! so you go (ahem) or you clap,the lights go on. (Ta-Da!) Quite cool.The first thing the host offered us was.. nope not drink,it was flippers! this keeps the house clean and.. keeps your feet warm too!After that we place our luggage into the store room and look at ZhangHe doing her homework. OH MY GOSH!(freakout) It's all in chinese! Even mathamatics,history etc. Except English(of cause).Her mum son after offered Rosma and i chinese tea. I'm not used to seeing leaves in my drink.(feels weirds)But i just drank up,as an respect.Soon after,we planned to shower.We took the toiletries and clothings to the toilet.The funny thing is that ZhangHe wanted to bath with us and we thought that we are taking turns so we stand there deciding on whose going in the shower first.ZhangHe did this as she told me that she was afrian that we do not know how to user the shower.(haha)This thought makes me laugh.Feeling uncomfortable,i requested giving Rosma five minutes to shower and then enter again to see if she needs anything.When my turn,Rosma and ZhangHe waited at the basin that corner and helped me in passing the clothings and soaps.When ZhangHe shower,Rosma and i was not in the shower room to help her,we were packing our stuffs.After showering,ZhangHe wondered if we wanted to sleep just us both or with her, i replied that just us two would do.(sleeping with a stranger feels weird)Then Rosma and i did not turned in yet.We were as awaken as the owl.We stayed up chatting till 1+ then fall asleep.
